As school comes to an end, the countdown to our departure from Edmonton has started. In 47 days the Varga family will fly from Edmonton to Macau via Vancouver/Taiwan.
We will arrive in the morning so that we can get a good look at our new surroundings! We are to be picked up at the airport by a school staff member and then taken to our temporary accomodations. Our first order of business (once we catch up on some sleep) will be to find an apartment to call home.
First posts to this blog from Macau will occur in late August!

Hello Vargas!
It was so good to see you in July before you head out on your new family adventure!
Have a safe trip over and I am excited to hear all the details.
Many blessings,
Christine
Hi Jackie, Mel, Emily and Daniella Bella,
I'm so sorry I wasn't home to get your call on Saturday night, we have been waiting to talk to you in person for days. I tried to call the number you used, but was not successful. We miss you already. I understand from your message that it's very humid, but everyone is surviving so far.
I hope you have had some success in finding an apartment close to the university and soon you will be able to email or call us again.
Nanny and Jimmer are great, doing their thing as usual.
Ally is working with me for two weeks on a summer experience program.
Gillian is still working like crazy. We will be helping her move into her apartment in Toronto next week.
Pat and I are great, we had a very busy weekend, and I raced at Henley on Sunday. Didn't win our race, but had a very competative final with all the boats in a tight race with no clear winner until the last few metres. I'm glad the practices will be slow down a bit before it heats up for the fall regatta's.
Well, Jackie, this is my first attempt at writing on the blog, I hope you can read okay.
We are thinking about you all, and miss you tons already. Call again when you can.
Love,
Jaynie
